About Dance Creation

At Dance Creation, we want to make sure we are building up & encouraging all our dancers, we always ensure we have supportive judges & staff to make your weekend that extra bit special! We all want you to succeed and want all involved to help keep that friendly & encouraging environment as well!

At all of our events we have a wide variety of special award to hand out alongside the routine placements, these include - Highest Scoring Routines, Best Costume, Dancer & Dance of the Weekend, Choreography Award & Sportsmanship - Our sportsmanship award is our favourite as this gets given to 1 or a group of people who have really shown our ethos of support & encouragement throughout the weekend!

Our Championship competition is our biggest event of the year, usually held around easter each year this competition features scholarship & special invite entries, our Champions of Champions Dance off for our top 10 routines of the weekend & our Face of Dance Creation award, where one lucky winner gets to be the face of our brand and work with us over the next year! Its definitely not to be missed!

At Dance Creation we pride ourselves on being a supportive, friendly & encouraging team and environment where dancers of all ages & abilities can have fun performing and creating memories to last a lifetime!

​We are open to all ages & abilities, so whether you’re brand new to dance or a seasoned competitor everyone is welcome!

We ensure fair judging in all sections and have been a great starting point for those new to the competitive dance world.

Offering a wide variety of styles including - Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Character, Street, Commercial, Hip Hop, Song & Dance/Musical Theatre, Cheer Pom, Stunt Cheer - we have something for almost every dancer, meaning you can bring your whole school & compete in any styles you like throughout the weekend!

As well as this we have a variety of Sections - Solos, Duos, Trios, Quartets & Teams - so your dancers can get stuck into all the different categories available too!

Our Founder

Hayley Lawson

Hi there, I’m Hayley! I started Dance Creation back in 2019, with a vision to create a fun, friendly & supportive dance competition for all the local dancers within my home towns in rural Mid Wales.

​

Having danced from the age of 3, training in a variety of styles, I gained a huge passion for dance and knew it was something I wanted to pursue as a life long hobby & career!

Growing up in rural Mid Wales meant that we were always having to travel for any kind of competition or performance etc, adding to the expense & chaos of an already expensive hobby!

​Through my experience dancing I knew there was a lack of opportunities locally and I wanted to change this, whilst also providing something affordable, accessible and with positive experiences, friendly judges & staff and ongoing opportunities - And so Dance Creation was born!

I’m now super lucky to say I’ve been running Dance Creation for 5 successful years, with even more new ventures coming up in the next few years, meaning I can share this experience with even more dancers around the country!
